I wanted to get down on the floor and play with my kids, go on the rides at Cedar Point with them, or get into a kayak and not kill myself. Six months and 80 pounds later, all of those things are a reality.
After getting out of the military, I immediately began gaining weight. At 316 pounds and with health problems beginning, I was convinced I needed help to lose the weight. I joined the Borgess Health & Fitness Center and met Steve, a personal trainer there.
The motivation was up to me, but what made my time with Steve a success was his guidance. After three months at the fitness center, people would tell me, “Hey, you are doing great.” After six months they would say, “What on earth is going on?”
I’ve become the role model for my family that I always wanted to be. In the end, it was all about making the commitment to changing my lifestyle with the help of Steve and your facility.
