Fitness Areas Closed For Annual Maintenance

The fitness facilities will be closed Monday, August 21 through Friday, August 25. Facility will re-open Saturday, August 26 at 7 a.m.   (Due to floor refinishing drying times the aerobics studio will re-open on Monday, August 28 and the basketball court will remain closed until Wednesday, August 30.)

Projects to be completed this year include draining and cleaning for the lap pool, painting in the pool area, locker room carpet replacement, new shower valves to make it easier to turn off the water completely and floor finishing for the basketball court and aerobics studio.  While it is necessary to close the fitness areas during this time, membership privileges will be extended at both the Maple Street and Portage YMCA locations to BHFC members during the five days of closure. Just show your BHFC membership card and photo ID upon check in at either YMCA location.  Please note that  the Maple Street warm water pool is currently closed for renovation, therefore, swimming will only be available in the lap pool at this location.

Open Swim Times Offered In Borgess Spine Pool

A limited schedule of open swim times will be offered in the Borgess Spine pool during the maintenance closure.  Members are asked to park in the Borgess Spine  parking lot and enter the building from the pool entrance door.

Monday, August 21 – 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday, August 22 – 2 to 4 p.m.

Wednesday, August 23 – 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, August 24 – 2 to 4 p.m.

Friday, August 25 – 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.


Water Workouts Offered In Borgess Spine Pool

Join us for a special morning of stretching, strengthening, balance work and stress relief in the warm water.  We’re offering a triple play of some of our most popular warm water classes on Friday, August 25:

Ai Chi – 9 to 9:40 a.m.

Aqua Yoga – 10 to 10:50 a.m.

Pilates/Yoga Fusion – 11 to 11:50 a.m.
